Stephen Buoro, who released his book The Five Sorrowful Mysteries of Andy Africa, featured on The Observer's 2023 list of best debut authors.
Ticking 'all the boxes of a literary blockbuster' according to The Guardian writer Ian Williams, Buoro's tragicomedy explores coming-of-age in modern day Nigeria among conflicting Western and African influences. 2023 continues to be an exciting year for the Nigerian raised, Norwich based writer, as he takes part in The Hay Festival, The Edinburgh Festival and Queens Park Festival, and in September the Booker Prize Foundation Scholarship winner appears in conversation with acclaimed author Guy Gunaratne at the Southbank Centre.
